Swimming lessons at your condo pool.
Your coach comes to you. No drive, no waiting room, no queue at a swim school — just your own pool, at your own time, with the same coach every week. We handle the arrangement with your management.
Your own pool is an advantage, not a compromise
Parents sometimes ask whether lessons at a condominium pool are a lesser version of a proper swim school. For learning to swim, the opposite is usually true.
A child learning in the pool they already play in is learning in the water they will actually use. There is no unfamiliar building, no echoing hall, no changing room full of strangers and no group of other children watching. For a nervous child that removes most of what they were nervous about before the lesson has even started.
It also removes the journey. Thirty minutes of lesson plus forty minutes of driving is a different proposition from walking downstairs, and it is the single most common reason families stop going to lessons they were otherwise happy with.
How we handle your management
The part everyone expects to be awkward. It usually is not.
Tell us where you live
Name the condominium when you enquire. Between eleven coaches we have often taught at your development already and know what its management asks for.
We prepare the paperwork
Coach’s name for the visitor log, teaching and lifesaving certificates, and anything else the managing agent wants on file. You forward it; we make sure it is complete.
Then it is routine
Once a coach is registered, weekly lessons are just a resident booking a visitor. Most families never think about it again after the first month.
If your condominium says no, that is not the end of it. A small number of developments do not permit external coaches at all. Tell us and we will move the lessons to a public pool near you — same coach, same slot, everything else unchanged.
What makes a pool workable
Almost all of them are. For completeness, this is what actually matters:
- Somewhere to stand. A shallow section matters far more than length, especially for beginners and anxious children.
- A usable wall. Most early skills are taught at the edge, so a ledge or a rail helps.
- Reasonable quiet at your slot. Weekday mornings are usually empty; Saturday afternoons usually are not.
- Access at a fixed weekly time. Some pools have booking systems or resident-only hours worth checking before we set a slot.
Length is rarely the constraint. A 15-metre pool is enough for everything short of distance training, and even stroke correction is mostly taught in short repeats rather than long swims.
coaches, working across the whole island
Because our coaches travel rather than sitting at one site, where you live mostly determines which of them we can offer, not whether we can teach you. Tell us your condominium and your preferred times and we will tell you who is genuinely available. Meet the coaches →
Questions residents ask
Does my condo management need to approve this?
Usually yes, in some form. Most Singapore condominiums have a rule about external coaches or instructors using the facilities, and it ranges from a simple visitor registration to a formal application to the managing agent.
We do this regularly and we will handle it with you. Tell us your condominium and we will ask you for whatever the management needs — usually a resident’s details, the coach’s name and NRIC for the visitor log, and sometimes proof of certification.
What do managing agents usually ask for?
In our experience: confirmation that a resident has booked the coach, the coach’s name for the security log, evidence of swimming teaching certification, and occasionally evidence of insurance or a lifesaving qualification.
Some condominiums restrict coaching to certain hours, or to residents only, or require the resident to be present. A few do not permit external coaches at all, in which case a public pool nearby is the answer and we will help you pick one.
Is your team insured?
This is one of the two questions managing agents ask most often, so ask us directly and we will give you the current position in writing to forward on.
Every coach holds a current teaching certification along with lifesaving and CPR + AED training, and we can provide those certificates for your management to keep on file.
Our pool is quite small. Is that a problem?
Rarely. Most condominium pools are between 15 and 25 metres, which is more than enough for everything up to and including stroke work. Water confidence and early learn-to-swim need even less — a few metres of shallow water and a wall.
What matters more than length is having a section your child can stand up in. If your pool is a uniform 1.4 metres with no shallow end, tell us and we will bring that into how the early lessons are structured.
Our pool is deep all the way. Can you still teach a beginner?
Yes, though it changes the approach and it is worth telling us in advance. A child who cannot stand up anywhere has nowhere to retreat to, which matters enormously for a nervous beginner.
For a genuinely frightened first-timer in a uniformly deep pool, we will often suggest starting at a public pool with a proper shallow end and moving to your own pool once they are comfortable. It costs you a couple of trips and saves months.
Can my neighbour’s child join the lesson?
We teach one-to-one, so two children means two lessons. What families in the same block often do is book consecutive slots with the same coach on the same morning, which is efficient for everyone and means only one visitor registration.
Bear in mind your condominium’s rules may treat coaching for a non-resident child differently, so mention it when you ask management.
What if it rains, or the pool is closed?
Lightning risk, thunderstorms and pool closures mean the lesson is rescheduled at no charge — we follow your management’s or the pool operator’s decision, and safety is not negotiable. Light rain on its own is not a cancellation.
Condominium pools also close for maintenance, sometimes at short notice. Let us know as soon as you do and we will move the slot.
I do not live in a condo. What are my options?
We teach at public pools across Singapore and will suggest sensible options near you, including which times are quiet enough for a nervous beginner. Everything else about the service is identical — same coach, same slot, one-to-one.
The same terms as everything else we do: start with one trial lesson and watch it from the poolside. We quote your rate in writing first, lessons are paid in small blocks rather than upfront packages, and 24 hours’ notice moves a lesson instead of losing it. If the coach is not right for you, we will match you with a different one — or you simply do not continue.
Which condo are you in?
Name your development and your preferred times. We will tell you which coaches cover your area and what your management is likely to need. We reply within one business day.
